Haven't stopped by 5.0 talk in a while now. I figured I'd show off my new ride. Its an 03 Kawi ZX6R, mods in my sig. And check her out. I plan on taking it to the 1/4 track soon so we'll see what she can do, hoping for 10.9s or better but we'll see.

Man I wish my old 5.0 could have pulled like this.

I was getting the cobra but I changed my mind. I love riding more than I like driving and you can go so fast for so cheap, relatively. I just dropped 1000 on gear, including an Alpinestar skid suit my parents are getting me for my bday, Alpinestar boots, and AS gloves. I have yet to buy my shoei helmet and that will be another 300+.

I didn't want to do a **** lot of work, when in reality I just got done with doing all that work 3 months before my car was totaled. This was a way I can connect with my dad alot better and just ride. My dad and I are scheduling every sunday from 7:30AM to 1pm is our riding time and we will go to the mountains and up to NC, etc. I think it is good fun and we can help our father/son relationship alot.

And thanks, I love it too!

No more jeep, my brother took it offroading and blew the engine.

Yes I got the stang running, it made 275 hp 307 tq NA w/ explorer upper and 10* timing, we literally got the thing running and drove it straight to the dyno to not miss our appointment. It had several vac leaks too so I am sure it would have made 295+ with little tweeks. A few days before it was totaled we did a nitrous run and made 430 hp and 501 tq on a 150 shot.

I do ride safely, or more like I ride in safe places.

BTW josh you want to hit up that drag strip this fall???

oh its done, it was a 357W car the engine he bought ended up being a pos, and wiped out his custom lunati cam, it was unbelievable the how bad it was..

now he has a 302 with tw heads, stage 1 cam, and an eddy intake, and all the bolt ons, were currently trying to fix a fubared dist, but saturday were all goin on a 200 mile round trip fiasco with some of our f-body buddies, so it should be fun!!

ever since he got it running with the 302, the police make a round through his neighborhood every 5 mins.. lol

I still have open headers on my crap revving it to 6k with almost 11.1:1 comp (loud as piss) and my neighbors really could care less haha..

haha sounds about right....

Well in that case just let me know.

Jaswir, thanks man, and I definitely suggest taking the MSF course if you haven't already. This bike is not nearly as forgiving as a harley. I grew up riding dirtbikes and rode a nighthawk 250(not so badass lol) for 3 months before moved up. Just be safe, I know I need to be...
