EDIT: and by stut I meant strut

woot woot... it came in at christmas, finally got around to it... i ordered it from jeff (BOTTLFED) the only problem i ran into was the struts that came with the kit, were too short. they were 15" extended total length. I ended up going down to O'Reilly auo parts and got a set of struts (Mighty Lift 95063). I had to use the ball joints off of the struts that came with the kit, but they just screwed off and screwed right onto the new ones. They were $15 a piece and the kit was $75 shipped from canada.

Yes. They bolt right in(especially if you get all the hardware off a vert). Only difference is the decklid does not open as tall as it would with the bars. It's simple to do and I have them on my coupe. No more bars!! I do like the strut idea a lot also.

This and the hood strut kit are both on my to-do list. I'm also looking into swapping a hatch back glove compartment trunk popper setup onto my coupe...i'll post a thread up if i ever get around to it.

Looks like they were possibly too short because of the angle you put them on at. I went straight back with them. I've had mine on for quite awhile now(around 2 years or so i think), they still haven't loosend up...kinda hard to shut and puts a lot of stress on the brackets. Was told i'd have a softer set sent to me at least 3 times after i had to remind him after nothing showed up. Still nothing, lol. Oh well...nice idea i guess but something i could have done without.

Hehe probably my fault they were too short. But the ones I replaced them with dont spring the trunk open, and they dont take ridiculous amounts of effort to close, a good balance I think.

My coupe has one... is that because mine is newer? I didn't know there were stangs out there without them
