No flame intended but if you run a search for "odometer", you will find a plethora of threads. The little driven gear is shot and needs to be replaced. See the folks at "carradio.com" in their speedo/odo gear page. Odo gear failure is NOT uncommon. Take your time and don't break anything, lol.

Also the VSS connector to your tranny might be the problem. It relays the speed sensor.

Hey no biggie. I do read the treads quite often but have never come across somthing involving Odometer threads. Question though, Why do you mention a car audio site? Come to think of it my car sterio was burgled from my car a week ago, about the same time the Odo quit working. Could they have messed somthing up while carelessly pillaging my stuff?

The vss makes the speedometer stop working, not the odometer unless they BOTH aren't working I went about two weeks with my speedo acting odd. I'd be cruising with cruise on at 65, and then the speedo would just drop to 0 as if the car died

My odometer/trip both just stoped working a few minutes ago. By "the little driven gear" do you meen the one in the gauge itself? Because my speedo works just fine.
