Hey guys I've been reading stangnet for a while and finally decided to sign up and post.

Im going to be starting the restoration of my stock 90 5.0 lx soon, and wanted some advice on my ideas.

I've got a black hatchback, which I'm going to have repainted black. I'm also going to do an all black interior (carpet, seats, etc) with chrome accents (IE: Shifter knob, door handles, e-brake, etc.)

If anyone has done all black interior and has pictures, would you mind posting so I can see what it would look like?

Also, I've got flowmaster exhaust with polished tips, and the chrome tips are welded on to the rest of the pipes with some of the WORST welding I've ever seen. That, and they rattle against the body up behind the wheel well. Anyone have advice for good exhaust?

Thanks,

V

Welcome to :SNSign: black on black is the hottest combo for these cars, unfortunatly I got stuck with a greay interior.....but i like it.

I along with 90% of the people on here have flowmasters, they will produce the typical 5.0 howl, a change in the mid pipe will make some differnt sounds but just about anything sounds good.

post some pics and ask questions, everyone likes to help out

If you want some real high quality stainless steel then check out bassani. Flowmaster and spintech are both good alternatives.

My 89..

Yeah, with the black interior, you need some touches of chrome or aluminum.. mine has Bullitt pedals, White gauges, UPR Polished stainless sill plates, FRPP shift knob...

Good Luck

My turn. I still have to get a few more accents for mine, but I haven't decided exactly what.

Definately getting a little turned on here...

Thanks guys those look awesome. I am definately reassured in my decision to do all black.

Where does everyone get their parts? I've got a few places I've been looking (50resto.com, blue oval industries) but has anyone gotten any good deals and been happy about the results?

I've done some work with 50resto. They've usually been good, but they really messed up bad one time. Most of the stuff I have bought from them is good stuff.
