I don't know what to do,i have a 2002 gt mustang "auto" my rpms are resting at idle at around 500 rpm. now when i am at a rest my rpms also bounce a little. And on top of that i am having a hard time starting it some times. my dad thinks something is not opening up to trow fuel into everything?? plez help me my car is a snail on take off :( :notnice: :bang:

Try these:

1. check for vacuum leak or any hose that might be off.
2. Reset computer, disconnect battery for at least 10 min.
3. Since its an 02, it should still be under warranty. Take it to the dealer.

see i took it in about 4 months ago and they said that everything is normal but... i dont think that idle cold at 500-550 is normal and for how slow the take off is. and they said thet everything was fine :-( but i wanna take it in again, do yout hink it needs a tune up or something?

welcome to club buddy... there is a whole huge multi page thread about this issue. lots of us have the problem and no one can find a solution. people tend to think it's a ford design error. good luck.

Check the fuel filter, MAF, and then drop in about 2 bottles of chevron fuel injector cleaner on a quarter tank, drive it till empty(Only floor it once on the quarter tank), and then fill up with the good stuff. If that doesn't work, tell the dealer they are idiots and to get their a^^ back under your hood.
