Not sure about that. When my flames were painted, the clear was wetsanded and buffed a couple days after it was sprayed. Turned out fine. The flames have been on the car for about a month now and I have put numerous coats of polish on them.
I was told 60 days before wax by my painter. Great job on the car! Looks amazing, good transformation. Hope you get your vibration fixed up too! cheers
You don't wax it right away because the paint needs to cure. If you wax it you keep things trapped in the paint that are meant to escape or something like that. Don't take this verbatim, just trying to recall what my painter told me. I guess just to put it short just wait a while before waxing. With a new paintjob waxing shouldn't help it look any better anyway.
