My throttle cable is on it's last leg. Any quick fixes?

I just noticed that my throttle cable is on it's last leg. It is barley holding.

It's right in the middle of the exposed cable for the link to the tb.

Any ideas on a quick fix untill I can get a replacement?

I used some bike brake cable for mines.
