hi, i think i know what i did. I put a similiar valve body in that the tranny had already(C4). The old valve body the rollers for the transbrake were not wrking. Now keep in mind i have never worked on a tranny before. I swamped out the valve bodies. When i went to put the car in reverse it went forward. i tried to shift in to the rest of the gears and the shifter would only go up to 1 st gear. The shifter would not allow me to pout the shift level into second or third. its almost like something was holding it back. i got under the car and tried to adjust the linkage. That was fine. When i had the linkage off the actual shift lever on the tranny had alot of play. wheni tried to put it in gear from on the tranny it would push forward against something and would not engage gear. I believe i never set the lever on the tranny with the valve body. could that be the proble? and why doesnt my trans barke work?
