Me too! If I wasn't so busy that I could remember to bring my own camera, I'd have them for ya by now. His shop is ~70 minutes away and my school is halfway between us, so I leave at 7AM to start the day, hit his shop around 3, and am home around 7-8PM. Over the weekend it was more like 10-6 or 7 PM just being at the shop. It's the middle of April and I'm already getting sick of working on the car Today's the 5th day in a row, all thanks to not getting exactly what I wanted built (grrrr) and having to have it done by this weekend. Honestly if I had the time I would've sent this back and ordered something different.

Ha, I got half the pics and the DIN panel wasn't there. Sorry guys.

Here's some of the install. I drove it today, btw However there is still one more bug to work out, and I am teetering on the edge of going ****ING INSANE!!!!!!!!

New 4R70W:

See those wires? Yea...had to not only add on completely foreign sensors but also create harnesses for them.
See the shifter lever arm on the right? The little bone-shaped thing? Two overnights from Ford, 2 days lost, and my
friend ended up CNCing one to actually *FIT MY APPLICATION!!!!* Unreal.

Since I had a lot of free time in between waiting for parts and researching to create friggin' harnesses and levers, etc., I degreased the undercarriage. Yes, I was nearly halfway out the door with my exhaust to be high temp coated, along with some lower suspension parts. But I didn't expect we'd be so heldup wtih this install. If I did, I WOULD have taken some parts to be done

I am the king of good news/bad news.

Good news: tranny is fine and feels GREAT

Bad news: previously-unknown, aggrevated head gasket turned into a blown head gasket today.

"well it could be worse": I have the day off tomorrow and the help of a friend who is going to help me tear it down, clean everything, and hopefully get it back together for this weekend's event.

I don't even have the S-trim crank pulley on yet, so there's not reall much more boost. The head gasket thing happened last year sometime, because it was leaking as we pulled it off the tow truck last weekend when we started the tranny job. But at that point we just thought it was the overflow tank or something stupid

It should be 12-14, anyway.

I've got more work into it these past 6 days than all of last year already. Tomorrow will add another 9 to it

Haha - still far enough to not be able to come over right?

I got help, no problem there. There's only so many hands that can fit in there at once, although going in shifts would keep morale way up...and headaches way down!

Early tomorrow (hittin the sack in after this post, actually) I'm heading down to the shop I'm bivouacing at this week (lol) and tearing it all down w/another guy. We have a 3rd friend ready and willing to help, so we'll probably give him a shout to jump in so we can get some rotation in.

the head gasket thing really sucks (i know for experience as well). on the plus side everything gets to come apart to clean just kidding. everything else on your looks amazing as usual

got a question for ya..... you find it hard to keep going to gym while doing all this stuff to your car? cause when i get off work its just habit to go to the gym now but the whole time i am thinking of what i am gonna do when i get home lol

I know it was an overheating problem that caused it, after thinking about it. Last year my radiator blew a line seal on a long drive and it was a little bit before I noticed. That had to have been it.

I haven't been on my normal lifting routine this week. I don't mind if I don't go, but I work a full day on the car, go home, and so far have gone 2x this week. Normally I'd have gone 3x by now but I consolidated things into a 3x per week split. All I've got to do now is legs, but there's no way I'm gonna squat after a day like today is going to be. So, whatever

Well, 15 hours today to tear it down, clean everything, repolish a few things (duh), and so on, and it's built back up the upper intake. Need one upper/lower intake gasket and we'll finish tomorrow quickly. Sweet It wasn't without a looooooooooooooooooooong ass day and some help though, that's for sure. If I had to do this alone in this time I would've said fuggit at hour #5.

Ok, all back together now and running/idling fine. The buildup went without any problems so that's nice. I drove it for about a half hour and it totally rips w/the new transmission. I didn't get too much into boost but I definitely felt some. The tune I have currently is my ~10# A-trim tune, so I know it's pretty close.

Tuning it in a couple hours and finally will be able to LEAVE IT THE HELL ALONE for the year

Well the blower belt rode the idler pulley (spacing issue, need a shim or two) and ripped the casing, resulting in some nice confetti. I kept all the ribs though, and it got me home w/between 6 and 7 depending on where you looked on the belt No power pull, but i did get a full tune and everything is cool.

It's finally over, save for a belt swap and to change the spacing on the idler pulley.
