Havent posted much on here but read others alot so heres my project/story.Needed to replace an 02 censor with broken wire, decided to get both.Took em out..more like twisted em out of the original H pipe.Due to corrosion and age the bungs were to decayed to put the new 02's in so...bought a snazy new BBK X-pipe with cats ( dang it looks sweet).Then discovered the old H-pipe was welded to the original headers-torched that out and bought new headers BBK shorty/individual length.( dang they are sweet lookin to!)They didnt just slide in past the engine/strut tower so lifted the engine a bit.Discovered mounts were torn cracked and broken.The headers rested on the lower frame as well so bought new mounts.The headers now fit perfect with decent clearance both sides didnt have to remove steering rod either they just fit in np's.While i was at it i removed the engine and trans.The previous owner didnt seem to like useing gaskets and i had an oil/roadgrime slick about 1/8'' thick all over the engine and trans.Its clean enough to eat off now and repainted a light pastel blue colour.Next paycheck will be Flowmaster series 40 catbacks.Took 2 days or so start to finish was tiring but fun.Like reading all the posts on here and some very nice cars you guys always inspire me to do more on my 5.0L ../cheers!
