As you are aware, it is a buyer's market. I thought I would never see the day when ANY S351 would sell for under $20K. In the past few months, I have seen two of them do that...

Check out www.nadaguides.com or the kelly black book for current book value. You can also call Mark pas to get his opinion about the car as it is on his website for sale as well........

It also depends on what you feel the value is and what you are willing to buy it for. A N/A coupe with that mileage and condition (in todays market) is selling between $20k-$22.5K. So a N/A convertible/speedster you could add another $3k-$5k and you are pretty close to that range. I do know that he as been trying to sell that car for some time so he may be willing to let it go for less if you approach him with cash Just a thought

In a good market it would be worth near the BIN. Being N/A hurts it some. In todays market around $23K is all he can expect to get out of the car. Resale value sucks right now. I watched a identical 95 except it was red go for just over $18K with less mileage. I wish i were in a position to ad to my collection but, the economy is hurting me too. There are deals out there. You just have to be ready to jump on them in a matter of hours.

I want to own an S351 so badly. Dream Car. But I want a SuperCharged version more. I thought to myself 28 was to much but thats me. I keep seeing a white Vert every now and then but it scares me, due to Cobra Front Brakes. I really want yellow but i'm not picky. Any 94-98 S351 would work.

Hold out for a R- Code if you can. If you keep the car any length of time you will be happy you did. That black car is definitely a collectable but also with that mileage a serious driver. You can always have the seats re upholstered. Hey at least this guy enjoys his car. There really isn't anthing wrong with that mileage in the long run. IF it was a factory blown car and you wanted a black vert I'd tell you to jump on it because you could get it for a steal.

To answer your question though I would say that car is worth 25 tops a few months ago. Maybe only 23 today.

There is a sweet 95 R-code on PAS's website. It is almost a clone to my 96! The price is reasonable for a R-code with all the updates.

Interesting. He must not drive that at all. Sumner is a very small town, and I have never seen it. Looks nice though.

I agree with Marcus. If you really want an R-code, hold off. Deals are out there. You just have to wait and be patient. One will pop up every once in a while. I got a 17,000 mile '95 R-code coupe a few months ago for $27,000 (and it's got the '97 and T56 6-speed upgrade). However, if you are interested, here's 46,000 mile N/A '95 S351 coupe:

That car is a smoking deal if it is not a salvage. Sorry Sors, my book is at home. I'm sure someone with the book will chime in about it soon. If not I'll look when I get home.

That same car was on Mark's PAS website a few years ago. From what I remember, all it had was an aftermarket stereo system. Everything else was stock and original.

Yeah, it is one of the cars that for some reason the "book" doesn't have an options list on. You should ask what options it has. If you have any questions on what to look for you can give me a call at 404-392-9368. You might take the VIN and call Liz at Saleen to check to see what info they have or why it doesn't list options.

I think you are right. Seemed like a nice car minus the half assed stereo install. Call Mark at PAS and see what he has to say about the car.

Yes, that same S351 (#58) was listed on the PAS site about two years ago (perhaps a bit earlier). I had made a trade offer for my '89 & cash, but since it was a consignment vehicle Mark couldn't accept a trade on behalf of the owner.

It did have an Alpine stereo system with the amplifier mounted directly to the trunk floor which was pretty lame, but the rest of the car appeared to be quite well maintained.

I seem to recall it had about 30K miles on it @ the time so the new owner(s) have been driving it quite extensively.

$19K (negotiable) seems like a pretty good price.

Put a 408 ci stroker in it & whup all those R-code owners.
