I'm hip deep in build plans for the supporting mods on my soon to be blown fox, but I'm new to the suspension stuff.

My fox-savvy buddy suggested I go with coil overs and adjustable struts at all corners, plus adjustable LCA's. I just can't seem to wrap my brain around this: isn't all this adjustability redundant? In other words, if all these adjustable parts are for adjusting ride height, why not go with just adj. struts, or just coil-overs, and a non-adj. LCA set-up?

Go ahead... laugh.

i would think you would go one way or another with the adjustable parts. get some nice 12way adjustable koni's, a suitable spring rate, and an adjustable lca. or, get some non adj lca's, coilovers with koni's and call it a day. the adj lca's would be completely redundant with coilovers because the adj lca's adjust the stock position spring....and with coilovers ther is no longer a spring there to adjust.

i think the best thing to do in this situation is pick up one of these 2 books
1) Mustang Performance Handbook 2 By William R. Mathis
2)Mustang chassis, Driveline and suspension tuning from the editors of muscle mustangs and fast fords
I have both of these books and they tell you everything about suspension. You can learn damn near everything you need to know. plus there pretty cheap on amazon if u buy used.

1) What do you want to do with the car? Autocross? Drag race?

2) Don't be afraid to get flamed. Flamable offenses are as follows:

a) Putting a chevy motor in your mustang
b) Putting stickers and or aluminum wing on your mustang
c) Asking for pictures of 1 piece headlights
d) Converting a 4 eye fox to anything else
e) Parting out a Cobra.
f) Saying you hang out with ricers

I am guilty of d :(

It’s ok though; it was not your fault.

I know I'm new around here and all, but... how?

So, yeah... I want a daily driver to drag on weekends, and autocross sounds like fun, but I'm not necessarily interested in building for that if it will cost me much on my 60 ft. times.

I'm looking into the two books that were mentioned, so thanks for that.
