Fox Na 306 E7te Heads 368hp/363tq

I hope you do better than 12.7's! I got tired mmm of borrowing trailers all the time and finally broke down and bought a cheap one. For 2 or 3 trips a year it works well.

Well... was a lot of fun but the track was prepped for the 800-1200hp cars on stock GM rear ends.
Was a sea of newer vettes/cameros/caddy's... all with mega hp but weak diffs, so, the starting line was very poor and about 35-40' out there was bite.
Best 60' on the day was a poor 1.70x, tried everything from 16psi and 6500rpm down to 10psi and 5000rpm trying to find bite. No go.
If we were racing 330' I could not be beat... if we were racing 1/8th I was in the top 5... but in the full 1/4... I was 3rd from last.
Was faster than an '18 Mustang with full exhaust, on street rubber, and a Pontiac G8 with a turbo and dr's.
Best on the day attached... ran a few 12.4's, a couple 12.6's (way too hot on the launch) and missed 3ed 3 times out of 10... nice driving :).

D/A was 5085!! So, that's ~ the same as racing in Denver... (track is 'physically' 3075' above sea level)
So, if we want to play d/a correction... 11.621 @ 119.472
A slip that said that would be so much more rewarding.

The old EcoBost got 12.1mpg at 77.5mph and rarely came out of 6th gear.
Towing there uphill, with no wind, but... coming home, major headwinds and "dust outs"... ya, we don't get white outs, we get dust outs.

@RangerJoe I'd be very happy with that... tandem axle dove tail, nice. Elec brakes?
That's what I'm keeping an eye out for kinda like to have an 18' but, not going to be too fusy if the price is right... that orange strip express towed straight as an arrow behind the F150, so, don't see "needing" an 18'r

last time I ran the car, the d/a conversion worked out to 11.891 @ 115.796
Today, 11.621 @ 119.472 , so, car and driver are headed in the right direction... even if the 60's sucked.

Good job at the track!

You get what you pay for with trailers, and I knew that going into it. I am very happy with it for what I paid. It's a 16ft, but only 14ft of flat bed. I ordered it that way for weight savings as I pull with a 2V 4.6. Electric brakes on one axle only and the majority of the framing is angle iron with a wood floor. The main frame is c channel. I was out the door for $1450, so while it's not made to be at the track every weekend for my life, it will make the 2 to 3 track outingsa year for a good many years to come. I did add some led flood lights and made the drivers side fender removable so I can open the door on the car.

Did you ever go through the plotting on your suspension? I know we run similar setups, just wondering if you had done the measuring.

Joe

@RangerJoe , plotting, no, headed that direction after today.
$1450 for a new trailer! Heck yes. Folks think they are made of gold around here... cannot touch a "decent" used one for less than $2K. New they are real handy $4K... grr, just don't want to put that coin into a 3-4 times a year use... even tho i need to trek 2hrs each way.
What do you launch at?
I need to plot, but, would like your help if you have time to do so.

I Don't know how much help I will be, but I emailed back and forth with Kevin over the course if the week or two I spent fiddling with it. I will answer any questions I can though.

I launch a 6000 and on good tracks go 1.57-1.59 consistently. Honestly though, the last time I was on a poor surface with the ET Streets I went a 1.67, so not much different from you. 6000 vs 5000 is only good for about .02 at best on a good track, so on a marginal track 5000 would probably work better for me. I think there is more in my car, but I am afraid to mess with it.

Generally stick cars want separation between the fender and the top of the tires on launch. Mine use to squat, which is bad, but now it stays about even, meaning I am around 100% anti squat. I could probably stand to be a little higher, like 110-120.

Sorry, getting long winded.

Thanks @RangerJoe , will be moving the car and busting out the tape tomorrow... likely have lots of questions for you, but will PM.
I'd have been happy with a 1.6x... (was truely looking for 1.5's on a private $$$ track day) most were 1.73+++... grr.
Anyways, since we are similar power/weight, with same rear setup... well... get ready for questions :).

Rackers, T&D Machine, previous were Crower. Little bitter, when I called for a replacement I was told they changed the design, and I would now have one rocker differnt, started asking, oh, really, you changed the design, I wonder why I've got one that ate itself...bla bla bla... changed brands.

Kevin Slaby, BaseLine Suspension... check out his website.

Looking Good! Glad it is back together! What rockers did you end up going with? Previous were Crower?

@RangerJoe would like to know who helped you with your suspension too? Who is Kevin? Sounds like yours works well!

Yep, Kevin is the man. I really Don't think he get a the credit or publicity like teamz or others, but he is a smaller operation. I like that though because he still communicates with you.
