I aquired a 86 LX L4 C3 Stang that has a 1 BBL Carb on it. I have a 2BBL off of an older PINTO Yes I did say the bad word PINTO. So My question is what carb would be better. I am thinking the 2BBL for a better power curve (Like this motor actually has any Power) and possibly better economy. It looks like an easy swap.

If I end up keeping the car it will be getting a 351W with Cleveland heads. Still haven't decided if she is a keeper. I would rather spend the money on an older stang like 69 Mach 1 or a 67 Coupe. (NEEDLE IN A HAY STACK)

Anyone interested in purchasing her she may be for sell. She is very clean except for the sun faded canyon red interior.

Kilgorq, that sounds like a nice 86. Seems like they are getting harder and harder to find these days; nice ones at least.....

I'm guessing here, but I'd say the 86 1V will give more flow and power. It probably flows more air than the earlier model Pinto 2V, and that's why Ford used it on the heavier Mustangs.

For example, one 2 inch pipe will flow much more volume than two 1 inch pipes, everything else being equal. The same probably holds true for those small carbs.
