OK, this isn't about my Saleen, but I did my Richard Petty Driving Experience last Sunday. What a trip! I had an initial 8 laps, then 11 more at the end. For those NASCAR fans out there, you've got to do this. I had the fastest lap time and top speed for the class. It was at Kentucky Speedway and my lap time was 43.34 seconds at 146mph. The instructor told me they are only allowed to take us to a 43 sec. lap (it's a lead-trail deal), so I got everything out of the experience. 650hp combined with the light weight of a Bush car made for some pretty healthy acceleration. Hardest part: The front and back streatches. The car is set up to turn left, so you have to stear it right toward the wall in order to keep it going straight. Definately gave me a new found respect for those guys doing this every Sunday. I couldn't imagine 50mpg faster with 42 other cars out there bumping and grinding...
