i am putting a 130 amp alternator into an 84 mustang....the car has no wiring in the engine bay....there is nothing to start from...the old regulator and wiring were removed by the previous owner....i have dropped in a motor and everything is finished except wiring this alternator....i have searched these forums and others and called everyone i can think of....no info unless it's a swap from the stock wiring.....i already have a 2ga cable run from the 3g to the batt+......i have the factory "D" shaped plug for the 3g....where do the two wires(green with red stripe and yellow with white stripe connect to? what are these two wires or which one does what? there is a 3rd small wire which runs from the "D" shaped 3g plug to a separate plug in on the 3g,it is hooked up. all i want to do is charge the battery, should i just go to a chevy 1wire alternator? i appreciate any and all help on this.
