that is what I was thinking... can't really come up with anything else...

I know some people re-titled untitled cars but that shouldnt have a bearing on the vin numbers either way.

the car is a 91 gt, but the vin on the title is a 86 2.3 lx. Im trying to figure this out for a friend of mine. Just curious how you could get the title for a 86, on a 91.
