...who'se leaf spring plates (rear shock mounts) will fit a 9" rear end going into a '65 Mustang. The standard '65 mounts are way too small for the larger U-bolts required. I'm going to the junkyard tomorrow so I need a list of cars. Thanks in advance.
I kept my old stock plates and drilled some new holes and cleaned it up with a die grinder (slotted the holes).
Another person here on the forum welded the holes up and drilled them to match the wider U-bolts. I would probably do this option if I were to do it again.
I welded my holes up and redrilled for the wider tube. I'm sure the slotting would have worked for them but I just felt better about having the smaller hole and it wasn't that hard. I would have used the perches from the 59 Ford that my rear came out of but I didn't think to get them while I was there and it was about 100 miles away.
