87 mustang GT hatch, Jazz 20g steel fuel cell, AN fittings and fill port on top, rubber bladder and foam inside. Theres a flexible pickup inside, hooked up to an external filter housing, then an Edelbrock FI pump and then forward to a NA FI 302. The floor was cut to fit the current cell, so I'm not concerned with any direct fit cells.
My problem with this setup is starvation after/during hard cornering. I road race, and this problem has been getting worse over the years, I've decided to rebuild my fuel system this winter.
I'd like to replace my current cell with one with a sump, outlet on the bottom, and maybe some baffles. 12-20 gal capacity, provisions for a return line (preferably to the sump/ fuel tray), and hopefully not too expensive.
I looked at Fuel Safe, I think I'm looking at over $1000 for one of those.
Glenns Performance has some, direct fit stuff for about $600.
Anyone know where I can find something similar but universal and cheaper?
