Im gonna make this the abridged virsion. I bought a 92 gt 3 weeks ago. Before, I had another 92 gt. The new one was claimed to have a 306 block, and have only about 20k on rebuild. I decided to leave it in. Partly becuase my mechanical skills are about a 6-7 outa 10, and the other was I didnt have a puller. I left my other block with 3000 miles, 306, forged pistons and Crane 2030 Cam out and just bolted on my heads and intake and other piss-on bolt ons.I have it running, or did untill tonight. It never leaked oil until tonight. I had a knocking whenever I would start the car, I would give a little bit of gas once, and then it would dissapear and idle at 800 R's.This happend at every cold startup. Today I put in new PCV valve, hose, and upper intake gasket, and switched my fuel wiring harness beacause of another problem I dont want to go into detail on. Thats it. The car will start and then die. Knocking still there. The fuel pump I just put in sounds akward. IDK what its problem is. It doesnt have the wine that it should, it just like its a busted ass.Basically Im at the end of my rope. I dont have alot of money after paying too much for the car. There is no warrenty, and Im trying to go to school to do this for a living. I will do everything myself, wrong or not, and build off my mystakes. Taking it to someone to do anything other than a DYNO is not an option. I have to major questions. What the **** is the cars problem now, and with my ability to perform rear end work and head intake ect. Would I be bale to take a motor swap if I had the right tools? Guys.... all your advice and opinions will determine what Im going to do with this situation. Please help me!
