need bbk intake help

i got the new bbk ssi intake put on and my vacuum. when i first had it on i had to have my a/c vacuum line off to have it run if it got plugged it would kill the engine and now it has to have it on or it will die? i have white smoke comming outta my exhaust and it is running really doggy n e body know what is going on.

There was a post on here a while back with pics that showed a lower SSI intake leaking coolant through the casting in one of the ports.

I hope this isn`t the case with yours,but white smoke is a sign of coolant being burned.

I rebuilt my motor a few years back and when i started it up it ran fine for about a minute till the white smoke came. didn't understand it. took it all apart,but it back together, same thing.Had to double check everything again.

what had happened was the coolent line that come out the back of the EGR spacer some how got hooked to a vacum line in the back of the intake and it was sucking my radiator empty.

Now this was a dumb mistake but easliy made, and the amount of smoke was unmistakable.

Check the seal of the lower manifold under the intake ports. I had problems with mine doing that. Also, mine was sluggish from about 1000-2000rpm. Also check for low vacuum, mine wouldnt pull anything for vacuum after i installed mine, and i could never figure out why.
