Like it says, if anyone has a coolant system diagram for a '97 GT it would help me out. My car sprung a bad leak on saturday and I lost all of my coolant in about 3 minutes. Had to get flat-bedded home...

Anyways, it appears to be coming from the front of the intake, but I'm not positive from where. I figure I basically need coolant hooses etc. I also heard a coolant crossover crack is a common occurance on these cars?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.. I guess I could try and get some dye and run it through, but it seems like an even bigger mess

Thanx,
Jason

sounds like the coolant crossover is probably the culprit

Well, I've pinpointed the spill point and I can see water dripping (alot) right i the middle, under the intake. Nice puddle ontop of the block. I noticed a big coolant line (so I believe) going right through there. Is there also coolant that flows in the plastic intake (runners)???

And is this coolant line the "coolant crossover" I keep hearing about?

Thanx,
Jason

the front "runner" on the intake is where the coolant flows. on the 4.6 motors that had the plastic crossover it was extremely common to have it crack. the updated intake has an aluminum crossover.

Thanx BD... I figure I have to remove the intake either way, at least now I know what I'm getting into.
