Guys I got a 2002 Mustang Gt with mods. After I got my cams done , I have a vacuum leak or something . I have a whistle starting around 2000rpm and every time I shift it hiss like BOV. I have changed egr valve, iac valve, alternator, idler pulley , belt tensioner , pcv valve e.t.c but with no luck.

I want someone who knows mustang or ford if it matters to look into my car. I am just sick of driving around with less hp cause I went from 293 to 277 rwhp and the whistle is killing me. I am so sick of it that I am even thinking about selling it so I don't have to deal with it no more. I have checked all the vacuum like and noting seems to be leaking. What should I do ? where should I take it to have it looked ? Only other think I can think of it intake Manifold cracked some where I cannot see. Is there a place I can take it to get leak down check ?

Any one here from vegas ?

Did you try the propane trick yet? It's real hard to tell sometimes, but it's worked everytime for me. Take a propane torch and turn on the gas, but don't light it. Start your car and let it idle down, and spray the propane around your upper and lower intake, and any gasket surface. If the idle changes at all in one particular spot, it would be leaking there.

I had a whistle when I installed a Professional Products intake and FRPP 70mm throttle body on my last 'Stang. It wasn't leaking, it just had some whistle for some reason. If I were you, I'd look that plastic intake over thoroughly. Also, if you Seafoam it real good, you might be able to see the intake sucking in some of the smoke in a particular area.

No propane trick , no propane :) I post this issue on mustang site here in vegas and one guy is willing to take a look at my car this thursday to see if he can pin point my problem. I did check with carb cleaner but with no luck :(
