almost every car i have owned has gotten silverstars, albeit the capsule type. they have all dramatically improved the lighting, so id say go for it. they make silverstar sealed beam units so grab a set and go
+1 on eBay. I think I got mine for under $20 shipped.
Also if you want brighter headlights buy or build a headlight relay wiring harness, I made one and it greatly improved the lighting. They should look even better when I get rid of my poorly aimed yellow stock headlights.
