NEED HELP 91 5.0 only runnin on 4 cyl

I just converted my 91 Mustang 5.0 from EFI to carb and it is only running on 4 cylinders. It is not running on cylinders 1,4,6,7. I installed a trick flow stage 1 cam, tw heads, eldelbrock intake, holley 650, MSD ing., MSD dist.#8598, electric fuel pump and cant figure out what is the deal with this thing. So i am hoping someone can send me in the right direction. Thank You, Cody

Make sure your distributor isn't installed 180° out. It'll usually run, but it'll run terrible.

What do you mean 180 degrees out?

Being 180° out means the distributor is installed with the shaft turned 180° from where it should be. If you set the engine to TDC on the compression stroke of the #1 cylinder, the rotor should be pointing at the #1 cylinder, if you remove the distributor cap. I'm suspecting that if you remove the cap, it's pointing at the #6 cylinder. That, or your firing order could be off. Verify that you have the firing order set to 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 for the 302 HO/351W firing order, not the standard 302 firing order of 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8.

another thought is if you have some of your rocker arms tightened to much.it could cause the same effect.causing the valve to hang open a little.
