Hei there I just installed the supercharger and started the car... Loooove the sound. One thing though. The RPM was much higher than usual. Propably around 1500 and after a wile it fell down to like 500rpm and then up,down,up,down,up,down untill i turned it off. it was rocking up and down between 500 and 1200 rpm and dark smoke came out of the exhaust.. what can that be? any ideas??

The hunting idle sounds like it's trying to adjust to having the s/c on there. As far as the black smoke goes, I'd be inclined to think it's running really rich. Did it come with an adjustable FPU or anything? What kinda s/c did you get?

Have you played with the fuel pressure regulater. Try lowering the fuel pressure if your running that rich.

If you have an adjustable one a wrench is all you need to turn it left or right. You do need a fuel pressure gauge to see if you just increased or decreased it.

yes petrol is flamable... I forgot to tighten the fuel line on the bottom of the FMU and it sprayed petrol all over the headers and MAN WHAT A FLAME!!!! PROPABLY 2-3 feets in the air... And when I put the fire out I just started lauging like crazy and I thought my dad was gonna slap me I was laugin because my brother left on his camaro 5 mins ago and when he left he said " im gonna go get a wet towel to throw on this ford crap when it turns into flames" (he is a Z28 owner) and when the fire was out that was the first thing that came to my mind ... Sooooooo funny D
