Thanks all for the help you have given me thus far, however it now seems that the car just will not crank. There is fuel in it so what could be the culprit??

if it does not crank, it is an entirely different problem altogether. please clarify/confirm: it does not crank or does not 'catch'?

My fault for not clarifying my terminology, it doesn't crank. It sounds as if it would like to turn over but it won't. Any ideas on why this would happen after the whole oil fiasco?? And thanks again.

ok, how is the battery charge? try a jumper (like jump starting). you can jump the solenoid, if you have been cranking it a lot (when it did crank) - they can overheat and kill the metal band inside.

JR has a great list on things to check.

good luck.

The battery is charged. And I have tried to crank it up about 20 times since the problem occurred. Haven't seen JR post on here in awhile. I'm taking a vacation soon, so I will have to deal with it when I get back. I hate going to the mechanics, and I want to try to solve the problem on my own (with some help from those more expeienced then myself). Thanks again.
