It is possible but not recommended.
Do some searches here there are some good threads on this. Also get an estimate from a good trip shop on the cost of the repair. It should be around $250-500 if done in a shop and you will spend almost that much on parts.

supposedly the ones from acme auto are direct replacement and are easy enough to install by a weekend diy'er....but i have no experience with verts so i could be very wrong.. just make sure of the company lrs uses because if they use acme (for some reason i think they do) and they dont have that glass in stock, it will take acme over a month to get your top made....they are slow and 4 week behind schedule already

I am 99% sure that no domestic auto requires sewing skills to work with the convertible tops. Generally it is the European cars that require high level skills like sewing and fitting. Generally domestic autos have zippers and stainless staples holding it all together. In the case of the thread topic it is absolutely zippers and staples so no sewing required. The problem with the staples is that they are super expensive and only available in bulk packs. You will spend $50 on just the staples to accomplish the task.
Be sure and get a quote from a good trim shop before you do anything.
Oh and how exactly did the glass break? Was something in the top well when it went down or did a sub in the trunk shatter it?

Ok let me restate and be more clear, you need to have a company that specializes in covertibal top repair, fix it. If you've got no exeriance, it will leak almost always, there few domestic vehicles that still sew the glass in. More importantly you need to find out what broke it. They don't "just" break. Something bound up, or debree in the top. A grain of sand/dirt will break the glass especially tempered safety glass.
