I am switching out the cat-back on my 94 cobra and am deciding between 2 systems....the american thunder cat-back and the mac flowpath cat-back. I am looking for the louder, more aggresive sounding of the 2. I did some searching around and saw that the new american thunder systems come with the newer delta-flow mufflers which is what has me worried. I loved the sound of the original 40 series mufflers and have been reading that the delta flows are a bit quieter which is what had me looking into macs system. What do you guys recommend? The remainder of my exhaust consists of bbk longtubes with an off-road h-pipe if that matters.

Macs are pretty loud, maybe slightly louder than Flowmasters!

ive got mac's on my gt now, its not extremely loud (cats) but the sound quality at least to me is awesome. my old lx had either delta flows or 50 series (on it when i got it, never took a good look to see which) and it was very quiet, almost as quiet as the gt was stock.

If you want loud and aggresive get the original 40 series flowmasters and weld them in, The american thunder catback is weak (soundwise) with the delta flows.

Anyone know of a place that sells the original amercan thunder cat-back with the old 40 series mufflers? That would probably be ideal.

I actually was considering the LMII but i am not sure if it would sound good with longtubes and no cats. I know that it would definitely be loud enough, maybe even too loud, but im not sure how the exhaust tone would be. The loudmouth is also a couple hundred dollars more then the other 2 systems, it would be an expensive mistake if i bought it and didnt like it.
