well I recieved my tune for my street/racer intake and the car starts and runs fine. Been driving it with no engine light or anything, but it doesnt have much noticable power. Actually it has NO noticable power. I used to be able to burn first, second, and even sometime chirp third when the car was 100% stock. Now that I have a cai and 91 tune the thing will burn 1st, chirp 2nd and thats it. It seems to bog down on hard take offs until 3000 rpm, then you can feel a little boost but nothing worth spending the money for. Here is what brenspeed told me when I email them about it.:
The stock air box will offer slight, but sometimes noticeable torque advantage below 3000 rpms. The smaller MAF is a little more responsive down low. Unfortunately the smaller stock MAF kind of falls off above 3000 so going with the CAI is always a good decision. You are running the most aggressive performance tuning we provide for your octane fuel available. You can try adding a deg. of timing at each RPM interval if you want and see if you can get away without any pinging but that is up to you.
nope.........sounds like a bunch of crap to me. At this point I'd say try another tuner and see what happens. Maybe Brenspeed will refund you the cost of the tune if someone else is able to make your car run properly
I think i will try a BBR tune. I have read some really good things about them. Everyone states they noticed added power thru-out the rpm range, not just a boost at 3000 rpm.
