I recently did a motor swap in my 1999 Mustang GT. We swapped a motor from a 2001 GT and the driver side PCV valve is missing. I have checked the dealer and local auto parts stores and none of them seem to fit. What does the PCV valve look like and is there a gromit or something that I am missing? Thanks!

Just wondering. Are you aware there isn't a PCV valve on the left side (Driver's) on the Mustang? The PCV valve is on the right side.

The vacuum line on the left side is for make up air. It's just an open pre-formed elbow line.

Because the air needs to be metered by the MAF, the make up air is drawn from a spot after the MAF.

No I did not know that. I went to my local Ford dealership and the guy I talked to thought it was a PCV valve also. So isn't there supposed to be a neck or something in that hole for the elbow to go onto?

See original reply.

For reference look at that 4.6 engine bay images. See the elbow from the left hand valve cover going to the intake tube?

And yes the pre-formed elbow just friction fits inside the valve cover.
