I recently had a fire in my dash and am in need of replacing the entire dash and center console. I have a 97 GT 5spd convertable, can anyone help me out? :damnit:
I wish I could help you out with spare parts.But alas,I also need parts in some places due to Fords crappy ass plastic parts that break when you touch'em.
You should check around at area junkyards.You can usually find some decent items if you no where to look.And even items that look a little worn out can easily be restored.
There are even yards that specialize in Fords, specialize in Mustangs, etc. That's the only viable way to get what you need. Most of the stuff is probably still available from Ford, but you may as well buy a new car.
Do you just need the dash and console, or everything behind the dash too? That's going to be a big job- I don't think I've heard of it being done before. Hopefully you are able to find a wrecked Stang with an identical dash and remove the whole thing with as little disassembly as possible.
