need help I.D.ing a wire..green with black stripe

does anyone know what the green wire with a black strip goes too.
i found it broke on the bottom side of the motor by the sway bar.

p.s. its on a 1986 GT mustang

Looks like it might be for your high beams. Looking through the wiring diagrams that is the only green w/black tracer that I could find.Might want to start there and see what you can find.

thanks for your help.. will try head lamps to see if wire gets hot or not. it was hot before when i tested it, but last time i checked it was not

ok.. update
wire is hot even when car is off and keys out. does not seem to be afticed by high or low beams off or on

i was wrong it is a black wire with green stripe
and its some type of ground wire. not hot... i had my test light on the + on my batt
