hello,

I am looking for some help.
I have a 99 GT.
I just have the regular system NOT a mach 460.

I need help identifying wires so i can splice in my aftermarket stereo wires into the stock vehicle harness.

Here is what i need information on how to do.
I have just come to the realization through research that this car also has a built in aplifier.
so here lays the question/problem.

How do i wire this system, so the deck powers up, and functions.
and how do i wire it so that the built in amplifier powers up and allows the speakers to function.....

Did you check with Crutchfield? They probably have a plug & play adapter kit for what you're trying to do.

I would strongly recommend buying the radio harness adapters/kit. But here's a couple of diagrams if you decide to go ahead and chop up the factory harness

I bought this. So when it comes in how do i wire it in? I know the power wires etc, but the speaker adapter where does that plug into? Into one of the plugs that are plugged into the factory amplifier mounted on the floor below the stereo?

Awesome, so i just unplug it from the amplifier and then wire it to my deck and the amp is eliminated?.
Now do i leave the rest of the amp plugs plugged into the amp or should i unplug them too?

You just have to unplug the connection to the amp that has the speaker connections .

i have done this many times with the connector harness but you still need to run a ground from the amp to the body and a remote wire to turn it on
