Ok...I have ordered a 2006 Tungsten GT with the red leather interior. But after I ordered it I realized that I was having second thoughts about the Tungsten color because of it's purple hue (which I did not originaly notice). So i tried to change the color to black about 2 weeks after I placed the order, but the dealership said that it was too late. So 6 weeks go by and now the dealership tells me that my car is going to arrive next week and that if I still want to change the color then they have a Satin Silver GT on the lot that I can take instead. It has the red leather interior and every other option that I wanted. so now I have to decide on eather Tungsten or Satin Silver. But I like both colors and cant decide which one I like more :whoknows: . Can you guys help me? I know I should decide for myself but I like both colors and just want some honest feedback on them. Please dont be affraid to express your opinion.
-sorry for the long post.

Satin Silver was going to be my first choice until Tungsten Grey came out. I ordered Tungsten, and I LOVE it. I would buy this color 1,000 times over again.

Satin Silver is fine but a little to boring to me. Really it should be your choice but since you ask I think the Tungsten is a little better considering your options. I wouldnt have gone black anyways myself, but this of course is all subjective.

go tungsten, why would you want a silver car like every other person in america? silver is just to common for me, and the tungsten shines so much better and nicer imo, but like others have said, its your choice

go with the tungsten, satin silver is overused by pretty much every automaker. You will probably get used the purple haze. I decided on the vista, it suits me better. good luck.

Like everyone else says, Satin Silver sux. It doesn't look good on the new Mustang at all...

Personally, the only color that suits me fine on a 'stang is Black. That's why I chose black for my 2006 V6. From your choices though, I'd go with the Silver... I saw the Tungsten today and I think it's kind of a girly color. No offense intented anyone!

I don't like the purple hue myself, but just an opinion. I wanted Mineral Gray and they don't make it anymore, so I am not sure I am going to even get a new Mustang now. I was going to by a used 2005 just for the color, but that would be stupid for me as I can get the A plan on a new one making it much cheaper than the used. That dark red is pretty nice and the darker blue would probably look good with silver stripes. The satin silver is pretty boring and I ruled that one out myself. You could add stripes to help that purple hue out on the Tungsten Gray also. I have had many black Mustangs and own one now, but the new paint jobs they put on now have so much orange peel, I would have to get a shop to wet sand it to make me happy. Could be that some are better than others though.

Get what you want and don't settle. It's not like you are buying a used car or getting a hand me down from a relative.

I was curious about that color also I cross paths with one every morning on the way to work.
The Tungston would look good under some Flouresent lighting.

The silver is classic. That's what I'd get (I'd want silver/black interior, though). I really hate the purple hue in the Tungsten.

It sounds like you really like the red leather, so I would say look at how each color looks with the red interior then decide. If you still like both...flip a coin.

Here's another vote for the Don't Like the Purple Hue.
I thought I was going to LOVE the Tungsten till I saw it at the dealer.
I like that it's darker than the Satin Silver, but I just can't take the Purple Hue. I wish they would have a Dark Shadow Grey color like some other Ford Products.

So, I'm going to go with the Redfire.

Also, I'd be really scared of the red interior especially with a Purple Hue'd Tungsten. I wouldn't pick red interior with the Redfire either.

Bottom line of course is get what you want...it's your car.

Ordered the Tungsten without ever seeing it and don't regret it one bit! Fantastic color, the purple only shows under certain conditions (sunset)
