I just installede a an aftermarket steering wheel (Grant) and needed help rewiring my horn to a remote button.

I want to hook up the horn to a remote switch (toggle style) and mount it in a tasteful location near the driver's seat. Just in case the question comes up, I need the horn for State inspection. Can anyone give me some direction on how and what kind of switch I need? I know the horn is the pink wire and black, but I want to know what kind of switch do I need or need to look for? I have seen 15amp to 30amp toggle switches that would look decent installed. How many prongs (connections) would I need? Thanks for the help.

It does have a horn button in the middle, but I didn't want to deal with wring it up through it. I just wanted to install it on a momentary switch.

Does anyone know how to wire one up to a switch?

It should be as easy as just mounting the switch and then extending the wires and connecting the two wires for the horn together through the switch.

If you touch the wires together does the hron work? If so then it is that easy.

Yep. The stock horn sends a ground pulse to the horn relay IIRC. so you liternally find the feed (to the relay's control side) wire and the ground wire that are used stock, and attach them to the new horn button.

Good luck.
