Need help running VIN # on Ford's line.

Well after a long 4 months wait and several false starts ( dealer BStroubles) I finally got my car's VIN #. Only thing is, when I tried to call it out over the phone to check the car's status, the dumb ass automated phone **** either garbled it or failed to hear the letters correctly. Any you guys have this trouble? Or is it just that the automated **** only trained to pickup on certain accents? ( Like it doesn't recognize my Texas accent)

Use the order # off the DORA, or e-mail Kzinti and he can give you everything including the window sticker.

I always used the order number and sometimes that messed up... Kzinti was most helpful...

If you're talking about the ERL don't bother with the VIN when checking your order...use the order number, dealer code, body type and you should be okay.
When I was waiting for my car I tried the VIN and it never worked.

YELLOWING, I have some bad news for you. According to the Ford system your car was sold at the dealer on 8/29/05.

That's about the time it left the factory headed for a boat in Baltimore. I suppose the agency I'm buying it through is some sort of middle man as opposed to a dealer. They keep telling me it's in Bremerhaven and has exited Customs therefor it should show up real soon. When the ships come in they must bring lots of cars and more than likely mine was the last one off the boat. Guess I'll keep waiting.

There's a few Tungsten Grey's listed in dealer's inventories like what you ordered around here. I doubt they have the 18" wheels, but you can always add those later.............

Yellow, I believe when an import goes out it does get reported as sold, not sure, don't quote me on this.

You can go on Forddirect.com and check out the dealer's inventories in your area as well. If you're hoping to pay on the "Z" plan, you may be in for a very long wait my friend..................
