Ok saved the money, and narrowed it down, now need your help to decided which way to go. I have to go either of two directions. One the Kenne Bell Twin Screw intercooled supercharger, or twin turbo. Now only seen a few twin turbos for the 05GT, Squires Turbo system be one. Now if I go for the twin turbo, is the STS one good anyone know anything about them. By the way all this would be professionaly installed nothing I would do myself, and there is a 2k price difference. PLEASE HELP NEED ADVICE

Dont know much about turbos for the new stangs but if i were u i would definetly go the twin turbo route. Their much more efficient than Sc's

I prefer turbo's because they are more efficient and make better power. Do some reading to get an understanding of how turbo's work and what is required to run them. There are 2 good books, Turbochargers by Hugh MacInnes and Maximum Boost by Corky Bell. There's also a lot of good tech on www.turbomustangs.com

Twin turbos all the way!

- Doesnt use power to make power
- Rare
- Sounds better IMO
- If you don't spool it up everywhere, you can actually keep your gas mileage decent

Its a win-win-win-win situation.

probably depends on how you like to drive... If you want instant ON power, go with the kenne bell, else if you want all out power/efficiency in upper rpms for like drag racing and whatnot, the twin turbos are good. I'm leaning towards the kenne bell or whipple myself...

I also replied to your post over on Modular Fords but figured I'd chime in here as well.

Keep your eyes on STS because they are close to releasing a single turbo setup for the 05 GT that looks very promising and should come in close to the same price as the supercharger kits out there. I will be putting this kit on my 05 GT as soon as possible. I'll post more information as soon as it's available too.

God this is so hard, do I hold out and wait for a promising Twin Turbo kit, or do I go for the Kenne Bell SC. Also will I have to go for forged internal, new block, rods and pistons, etc. with either of the setups or will they handle around 600hp which im shooting for, for now?

Your engine will NOT handle 600hp as it is stock. If that is what you are going for then you will need to do everything you listed, plus a new clutch, probably a driveshaft, etc. Basically it is going to cost you a boat load of money. If you would prefer to do it in stages then you are better of getting between 400-450rwhp and play it "safe", or do it all at once.

I knew I had to do rods and pistons, but the block wont handle that? As for the clutch and flywheel I assumed that was a gimmie. Drive shaft I had no idea.

Yeah, since the driveshaft is a 2 piece, the carrier bearing makes for the weak link. Although, you dont HAVE to switch driveshafts, but if you are trying to push big numbers, it would be a good idea. the last thing you need is that bad boy snapping and making a new texture for your floorpan.

If you got the money for the twin turbo I say go with that...I would just strongly advise to put some forged internals in the bottom end before adding to much boost.

so If the block can handle the 600rwhp like I want, how much would forged internals, rods and pistons cost, with install?

Just turn the boost down to begin with until you can get BUILT. Turbos are the best poweradder hands down.. I am ripping my Vortech off soon on my 95 and getting a single 76. Also, when my 06 comes in, I hope to be one of the first guys out there with twins.
