Need help shipping non-classic from PA to WA

Hopefully the mods will be gentle and let me get a little feedback. . . .

I am a long time contributor to this forum and I have a vehicle problem that I don't know how to solve. I realize that his is not a classic Mustang post, but after looking at all the forums available, I could not find a good place to post it.

My young step-daughter recently graduated college and moved from PA to Seattle, WA. She got herself in some serious financial difficulty and the best way we can help her is to ship her our old Subaru Forester.

Any suggestion on who to contact about shipping the car? Nothing fancy needed, just cheap, open trailer would be fine--I would at least like to know they are reputable.

We could get the car to the shippers, assuming they are somewhat local to us from central PA--Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Baltimore all are possible.

Approximate cost to ship such a small vehicle would be of help too.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I would check with a local classic car dealer

or look in Hemmings motor news. There are a lot of people running what I call "mini-rigs" hauling cars across the country. That said, this is the wrong time of year for good prices on shipping.
I'd suggest talking to a wholesaler, but I don't know how reputable that would be.
I've always thought Seattle had a good public transportation system? Are you sure she couldn't use that until spring?

Whether it's a Forester or a Mustang, (IMO) shipping is a good topic, especially with all the classics being sold on ebay.

Good luck!
