Yeah I think I'm going to go down in history as the only stanger that can blow up a clutch with 194RWHP

So far no dice on the injectors either dude forgot about me or is really busy b/c he hasn't gotten back to me for like a week. Question for ya since you brought it up... would going to 30's be overkill?

On another side note... I clamped off the return line & it still bleeds down to nothing in like 5 seconds(fuel pressure) so either I have a bad injector(s) or a pump with a bad check valve.

Right now I'm also playing with more timing & adjusting FP to make sure it's not pinging...so far it still seems slow but more tinkering will tell...

might want to try Joe's neat little 'put the injector in a cup of soapy water' test - might help rule them out. bad check-valve sounds more likely to me though - can you disconnect the fuel filter and rig a gauge on the filter input-line (being very careful and all that) to see if pressure bleeds off from that point? just an idea.

you have some very good, knowledgable friends on here (you seem to have the cream of the croppers posting on your thread, sans me ), so i bet you get it whipped in no time.

Sorry not familiar with joes test can you give me some more detail on it?
I don't have any gauges I can hook up in line like that though... I just have to wait until I throw the new injectors on there before I can determine the issue there. All the plugs look rather "even" as far as coloring & all so I doubt it's the injectors leaking.

Yes I've made some very good friends on this board, alot of them definitly have a handle on thier $h!t. Let me tell you it works out for the best that way with the number of quirks my car has.

As far as you go Hissin seems like you have a good handle on things from what I've read here on the boards, so I wouldn't hesitate to get your input on something. Besides it always helps to get a fresh perspective b/c sometimes it's some off the wall crap that fixes the problem.

Here is a link to one of Joe's posts about the injector test. not sure if it will help at this point, but cant hurt.

That's a cool trick I'll have to keep that in mind for the future!

Well I did reset the EEC *AGAIN* & jacked the timing to 22* base FP is at 54.
It seems to be faster now all be it not a whole lot but it feels like it has some torque now atleast. I may try a bit more & see how it goes....
