Need help! Urgent, taking drive shaft to pinion off...

Yep - the heat breaks loose the threadlock.

A long breaker or the double-box wrench method works for some folks. Or use your leg on the wrench.

why would they be reverse thread? All the vehicles at work we have to take the DS off of have normal threads.

If they are I guess I learned something new, but I don't remember them being reverse.
 
I had a hard time bracing my DS, cause I already had the rear end torn down when I got around to pulling the DS. But other than that, I don't remember anyting weird like reverse threading. Try some PB Blaster too. That stuff works wonders.

Caldwell, imagine them with red loctite on them... now that's a PITA. That's a freakin' hour itself to get them out, and me wanting to hit myself in the head with a ball peen hammer for ever putting red on there in the first place. :bang:
