How many FT LBS do you tighten the 4 drive shaft bolts at and also are universal safety loops a direct bolt on? Or they have one specifically made for the newer GT's...thanks for any help on this..

P.S. Is safetyloop really needed regardless you have aluminun or steel drive shaft or is it only required on the aluminum driveshaft?

D/S loop for 13's? I've never been bothered about that. I usually go to Atco and they're pretty loose there. They want a D/S loop for running slicks. A kid I was talking to had ET streets without a loop, and they said he's okay. REALLY loose I guess?

Driveshaft Bolt Torque

I assume you have a late model 8.8" rear end. Bolt torque is 75-90 ft/lb. I used 85 ft/lb. If you aren't using new bolts I'd use some thread locker.

I thought the D/S loop was req'd for cars running 12.99 or faster. That's how it was last time I went to the strip anyway

My track is 11.49 or 13.50 with slicks.

How much does a safety loop cost?

Think the loop is only like $35-$40 off partsnetwork.
