Need Help with Electical

I posted this in the 2.3L forum but arent getting much help over there so i firgure i would post it here.

I just bought a 89 2.3L with 70K. I knew when i bought it the A/C didnt work. Well when i was rewireing the radio that the car came with i noticed that the cooling fan wasnt coming on. Well i opened the manual and saw that the A/C and the cooling fan is on the same circuit. I checked the fuse and its good. Is there something else i can check to see if i can get both of them working?

I would start by checking voltages at the wide open throttle relay, selector switch, compressor connection. Someone will probably post a diagram.

The 4 cylinder cars have a control relay of some kind under the dash that controls the fan.
