I need some help with a intake cam and head setup for my 92 gt i'm wanting to get the car into the 10second range the engine is basically stock but i have added a vortech A-trim with smaller pulley about 10psi 4.10 gear with a wolrd class T-5 bbk headers off road H-pipe and 40 series flows and sub frame connectors the car is not a daily driver so I can lean more toward the track than the street. I thinking about going with a holley system max upper and lower with afr 165 heads but the cam is what is stumping me, the bottom end will be stock for now when it gives up i will go for a 331 but until then I want to keep the stock bottom end So if any of you experenced stangers can help I would appceiate it.

AFR 165's would be kind of small I would think. Maby a set of 185's would do better. TFS's are another good choice, larger heads and you won't have to flycut the pistons as long as you keep the cam mild. They really respond to porting as well, lots of room to grow.

The Systemax intake is a good, proven intake.

185cc cnc ported TFS TW heads right out of summit. A bit pricey, but they'll work great on your 302 and your planned 331. It'll also fit with stock pistons. Go 75mm on the tb and use a holley intake. Then when 331 time comes, bolt these parts right on your 331 with the right cam and make MORE than enough to split the block

so the 75mm tb will mate right up to the holly intake or will i have to port it out a little .the reason i was choosing the holley was i hear it flows better in the upper rpm band and since I will use this car at the track more than the street I figured it would be the way to go. Which company makes the best 75mm tb and mass airflow

So if I go with the holley system max upper and lower 75mm tb and mass airflow
keeping my vortech pushing 10psi with the 185 heads.and msd 6al btm for ignition

Now what cam should I go with the sytem max cam, x-303, or stage 1 or 2 trick flow cam. or do you guys no of a better cam for my setup.

And now how about fuel stay with the fmu or a stand alone system, will 24lbs injectors get me there with the fmu or ditch the fmu and go to forty pound injectors

thanks
