whats up guys i want to get heads cams and what ever else is nessecary my price range is arond 1500 so if you guys can help it would be nice lol thanks....
For a $1500 budget, the cams you can make happen...heads you'll probably be SOL. You might score a set of heads with your cores for 1500, but they really wont benefit you much without the cams.
Dont forget you'll need a tune, so add that in your budget. Cams are right around 500-550, tune varies but assume around 400-500 to keep you within limits. Could be alot less though.
Heads start around $1200 new (Patriot, no cores needed, but youll hear complaints about them), cams 500+, tunes can be as low as $150 dyno tuning... $500 for a tune is crazy, but I guess some shops charge that much.
as far as the heads why not port/polish/valve job your stockers and go with the stage 2 cams. 5-600 for that so you'll have a grand left over for cams/gears/head changing kit. summit has a kit with all the gaskets and new bolts for $114. look around, you can get things done on a budget.
