I getting new Automete 5" monster tach Phantom with shift light part #5899
And i gonna need little help , where i gonna connect signal wire from Tach , is it on coil ?
I have MSD 6A but i can't connect there because I don't have that little connector

I know where other wires goes , just that one "signal"

It is really not that bad. If you look at the back of the cluster you will see the "tach" labeled. Then you can just follow the gold wire down to where it meets the harness. The wire is brown with a yellow stripe if I remember right. You can tie the Ignition wire into the harness as well. That is labeled "ign" on the back of the cluster.

For the lighting source I just grounded the tach, turned on the lights, and starting touching the bare tach lighting wire against the connections on the harness until I found the right one.

This way you dont have to go through the firewall and everything will be fused.

Ernan, Shaun is right. Getting behind the gauge panel is very quick work. You will spend more time going through the firewall and routing the signal wire to the negative side of the coil (which is where it can also attach).

Good luck bud - nice to see you getting new toys for the ride. :nice:

Yeah , my stock tach is not accurate in 1st and 2nd gear on track or street because motor revs quicky but stock tach is little bit to slow so i have smack rev limmiter many times , and sometime stock tach wont pass 6200 , but i have reading on tweecer that i have passed (without rev limmiter moved up, not like stock 6250)
