Need help with my Autometer Tach

I just bought a 10,000 rpm nv series autometer tach with memory playback . I have everything hooked up except for the green wire that is to hookup to the distributor or blaster coil ? I have no idea. I hooked it up to the distributor and that didnt help. Any ideas ?

I believe you can grab the signal off the negative wire for the coil.

If you have a box, you might need to plug that wire into the tach port on the box (multi-spark ignitions can screw with the tach's reading).

I spliced into the negative wire that leads to the blaster coil and it did nothing. I have the msd 6al box. Do I hook up to that ?

Why don't you do the obvious thing and check out the MSD site? MSD Ignition
