Need help with porting project

I'm working on my 460 project with D0VE-C heads and I've noticed that although the intake ports look good, the exhausts are another story. There is a huge emissions bump on the roof and I want to grind it out to open things up and smooth the roof, but what can I use to fill in the hole? Is there some other way than welding? Thanks

Smock - I'd try to find out if there are any waer passages in the area you'll be removing the bump from - don't want to waste a head do we? No need to clase them in the chamber if you block off the passage on the end of the head.
