Rotors is this a disc brake swap if so there a lot more parts your gonna need or do you already have a disc rear or maybe you ment drums if so its a good time to replace the wheel cylinders

no i have the axles and rotors its off a 95 gt i know i need line adapters and lines and calipers and brackets but my main focus is getting the old four lug axles out and putting the five lug axles in. the guy i bought them from sold me 28 spline axles, rotors, caliper brackets dust shields, the only thing he did not have in the sale are line adapters line brackets, calipers. so i know i need all that i just want the bearings and all to replace the axles

All you need is axle end bearings and seals, not any of the extra stuff that comes in that kit.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but those bearings and seals are the same size, right? seems like they wouldn't need to be changed unless they were in bad shape...

Sounds like you have it figured out. You actually don't really need anything to just swap axles but sounds like you are on the right track in replacing some wear and tear parts as in the wheel bearings and seals. I would also get a new c-clip pin retaining bolt. Sometimes this will break when you take it out (hopefully not) but cheap insurance to just get a new one.

The kit you have listed is for a rearend install which you don't need if you are just replacing axles. You just need to remove the c-clip pin and the c-clips. the axles will just pull out then. Good luck.

Yea, I was just looking at it from a preventative maintenance aspect. Once those axle bearings go bad, they trash your axles and then you're hosed. Might as well replace them with fresh ones while you're in there.

This is true, but those bearings last a really long time. They're not real expensive, so it'd be a good idea to change them unless you're really strapped... If you are, inspect the seal area to see if they're leaking and if not, rock on.

Couple quarts does the trick, It's opinion as to what's best. I run Royal Purple, but that crap's high, man..At least with RP you don't need friction modifier additive since it's included in the oil already.. If you buy regular gear oil don't forget a little bottle of the additive or your limited slip clutches will misbehave and go bye bye..
