Me and a friend are going to open a shop in January and can't think of a name. We are going to work on street cars and project cars only, not your average Honda or Toyota. Everyone here may think anyone can work on their own car, but believe me, that is not the case. We both are professional mechanics, and you should see the crappy work we see everyday.

Thanks,
Dave

Just make sure you name it something unique. It seems everyone and their brother just names their shop "(their name/initials) Street Rods" or whatever. Not very memorable. Also, don't pigeonhole yourself into a category by having "Mustangs" or something like that in the name. You never know what you'll get into in the future.

That being said, I don't think the name is all that important. If you do good work, you will become known no matter how lame your name is.

Thanks,

I would try and work in the word "Strip" due to its drag racing connotation as well as for the famed street with all the casinos.
